The day is Tuesday the 6th of October. We are exactly 73 days away from the release of the much anticipated Star Wars The Force Awakens.

As the days go by, I keep thinking to myself, where is this third and final trailer??

The first trailer was released way back on Black Friday last November, the 28th to be exact.

It was a truly incredible experience as we FINALLY got to see images and video of the movie we have all been looking forward to for so long.

What the first trailer gave us was the mysterious character of Kylo Ren and his unique lightsaber.

There’s not much that is known on Ren but honestly, I don’t even want to find out on my own.

Instead I’d like to learn about him from the movie itself.

What I will say about Kylo Ren is there is definitely a mystifying presence he carries with him.

The second Star Wars trailer was released on April 16th at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California.

At long last, the new Star Wars universe gave a glimpse at two of the four original heroes, Han Solo and Chewbacca.

The appearance of these two characters was the major takeaway from the second trailer and for good reason!

To see the silvery-haired, wise faced Han Solo again, is just a happy sight.

He is synonymous with movies, one of the most well-known characters in America, Han Solo has finally returned.

Now that the first two trailers have been discussed, where’s that pesky third one??

Well, I’m here to predict that they will release the final trailer at the New York Comic Con later this week.

I just have a feeling that this opportunity to fire up the fan base with one more trailer is too good to miss.

With that being said, I want to talk about the marketing campaign Star Wars has rolled out for The Force Awakens.

It seems that every step of the way, the crusade towards Episode VII has been absolutely flawless.

In my eyes, the key to the successful Star Wars campaign was the tight-lipped filming that never allowed any major bombshells to the plot get released.

This gave the marketing capabilities a shot in the arm since almost all of the information was new and highly sought after by any Star Wars fan.

They seemed to just hit all the right points, release the trailers at all the right times and give out information at the perfect moments.

I also find it very impressive that they were able to suppress the outside forces to leak information.

They really did a nice job at putting aside their egos and pride that way, when the movie is finally released, it will be fresh as ever.

They released everything in perfect increments.

Sometimes when you see an extremely popular franchise releasing a new movie, by the time the film is released, the world  practically knows what’s going to happen before they even sit down in the theater!

That would have been a huge disappointment if that were the case for The Force Awakens but thank the maker it’s not!!

As we wind down this stretch of almost 10 weeks, I expect more to come out but nothing as big as the next trailer.

So stay tune, my prediction is for Comic Con this week but who knows!
